Searching for a Mauser C96? This is a fully legal 1:1 scale airsoft replica — the same silhouette, size and feel as the historic weapon, but no firearms permit required in most EU countries. Owning a real Mauser C96 typically means a certified gun safe, background checks and €1,500–€4,000+ for a collectable original. This replica costs a fraction of that, ships across the EU, and is the fastest legal way to own an accurate copy of this gun for display, historical re-enactment, airsoft skirmish, or as a learning piece. Note: airsoft laws vary by country — it is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that owning an airsoft replica is legal where they live before purchasing.
The original broomhandle — and Han Solo's blaster
The Mauser C96 (Construktion 96), better known as the broomhandle Mauser, was one of the first commercially successful semi-automatic pistols when it appeared in 1896. This is the M712 Schnellfeuer, the 1932 select-fire variant developed for the export market: a select-fire machine pistol with detachable magazine, used by German forces in WWII, Chinese warlords, Soviet commissars, and adventurers everywhere.
Its second claim to fame is purely cinematic: real Mauser C96s were modified into the DL-44 "blaster pistol" carried by Han Solo throughout the original Star Wars trilogy — perhaps the most iconic sci-fi sidearm ever filmed.
This airsoft variant is the CO2-powered build for maximum power: a heavy full-metal body, hard blowback, semi and full-auto fire, and a chrono around 420 FPS (~1.64 J) — well above most green-gas pistols and noticeably stronger in the hand than the gas variant. Magazine holds 22 BBs plus the 12 g CO2 cartridge.
