Description

The original broomhandle — and Han Solo's blaster

The Mauser C96 (Construktion 96), better known as the broomhandle Mauser, was one of the first commercially successful semi-automatic pistols when it appeared in 1896. This is the M712 Schnellfeuer, the 1932 select-fire variant developed for the export market: a select-fire machine pistol with detachable magazine, used by German forces in WWII, Chinese warlords, Soviet commissars, and adventurers everywhere.

Its second claim to fame is purely cinematic: real Mauser C96s were modified into the DL-44 "blaster pistol" carried by Han Solo throughout the original Star Wars trilogy — perhaps the most iconic sci-fi sidearm ever filmed.

This airsoft variant is the CO2-powered build for maximum power: a heavy full-metal body, hard blowback, semi and full-auto fire, and a chrono around 420 FPS (~1.64 J) — well above most green-gas pistols and noticeably stronger in the hand than the gas variant. Magazine holds 22 BBs plus the 12 g CO2 cartridge.
