The 1911 has been in service for more than a century, and the Defender is its compact version: a shorter slide and grip in a pistol that still has the classic 1911 lines. This airsoft replica is licensed by Colt, so it carries the real Colt trademarks and markings, and it is built in full metal, 790 g, so it feels like the real thing.
Works like a real 1911
- Gas blowback: the slide cycles and kicks with every shot, and racking it sounds like a real pistol.
- Slide lock on empty: after the last BB the slide stays open.
- Working safeties, as on the original.
- Metal magazine for 13 BBs and the gas.
- Each pistol has its own serial number.
Power and use
About 95 m/s (0.9 J) with 0.20 g BBs, with an adjustable hop-up: strong enough for outdoor games and within the pistol limits of most fields. Compact and quick to draw, it makes an excellent sidearm. Like all gas pistols, it works best in mild weather; a CO2 magazine is also made for this pistol (not included).
Prefer silver? The same pistol comes in a shiny silver finish.
Always wear eye protection when shooting, such as Bolle Cobra goggles.
