Designed by Nikolai Makarov and adopted in 1951, the Pistolet Makarova (PM) replaced the Tokarev TT-33 as the standard sidearm of the Soviet Armed Forces, the KGB and the Warsaw Pact militaries — and remained in front-line use for decades after the Cold War ended. Compact, blowback-operated, chambered in the unusual 9×18 mm Makarov cartridge, it became one of the most produced military pistols ever made and a recognisable symbol of Soviet small arms.
This airsoft replica is the CO2-powered version with a metal slide, polymer frame and a 13-round CO2 magazine. Note: this variant is non-blowback — fixed slide, no recoil simulation — which gives more consistent gas efficiency and higher shot count per CO2 cartridge than blowback variants. Velocity sits around 360 FPS (~1.2 J).
