At long range, the BB decides whether a good rifle hits. These 0.43 g BBs come from the Specna Arms EDGE precision series, made in Taiwan by a factory that specialises in precision BBs. Each one is 5.95 mm ± 0.005 mm across, the weight varies by no more than 0.01 g, and the surface is polished and coated to reduce friction in the barrel and hop-up. Consistent BBs mean consistent shots: the same hop-up setting gives the same flight, shot after shot.
Why a heavy BB
- Steadier in the wind: a 0.43 g BB is pushed off line far less than a light one.
- Keeps its energy: heavy BBs lose speed more slowly, so they arrive with more of their energy and are less disturbed by grass and leaves.
- Straighter, more predictable flight: with a well-set hop-up the BB flies flat and lands where you aimed.
Is 0.43 g right for your rifle?
Heavy BBs need power and a hop-up that can lift them. They suit upgraded spring sniper rifles and DMRs, such as our upgraded R700 sniper rifle. For a standard sniper rifle or an AEG, a 0.43 g BB is usually too heavy: choose 0.30 g precision BBs instead, or 0.23 g BBs for AEGs and pistols. Check your field's rules too, as some limit energy rather than speed.
