Upgraded R700 Airsoft Sniper Rifle, 520 FPS
The Remington Model 700 has been the gold standard of bolt-action precision shooting since 1962. Adopted in its military form as the M24 by the US Army and as the M40 by the US Marine Corps, it remains in active service with military and law enforcement agencies across dozens of countries. This replica is the upgraded airsoft replica of this iconic platform – built around the proven Tokyo Marui VSR-10 system, the most popular and widely supported sniper upgrade platform in airsoft, and tuned from the factory to deliver a powerful 520 FPS / 158 m/s out of the box.
The “U” designation matters. This is not the standard – it ships with a set of reinforced internal parts that most players would otherwise have to source and fit themselves: a blackened stainless steel cylinder with polished bore for superior air seal, and a stronger spring assembly delivering 2.49 joule of muzzle energy. It is a platform that is genuinely competitive straight out of the box, and virtually unlimited in its upgrade potential.
VSR-10 Compatible – The Most Upgradeable Sniper Platform in Airsoft
The single most important thing about the is what is inside: a 100% VSR-10 compatible gearbox. The VSR-10 system, originally designed by Tokyo Marui, has the largest aftermarket parts ecosystem of any bolt-action airsoft platform. Every major manufacturer – Action Army, Laylax, Maple Leaf, PDI – produces VSR-10 compatible parts. Tighter inner barrels, precision hop-up units, upgraded pistons, adjustable triggers, stronger springs: all available off the shelf and all drop-in compatible with this rifle. Start shooting it stock, upgrade over time as budget allows, and end up with a competition-level sniper rifle for a fraction of the cost of a premium platform.
Upgraded Steel Cylinder – Better Air Seal from Day One
The ships with a steel cylinder made from blackened stainless steel with a smooth, polished surface for easy cocking and excellent air sealing. This is a meaningful upgrade over the standard version – the air seal directly determines how consistently each shot is powered, which translates directly to grouping at distance. Combined with the stronger spring, the result is a consistent 510–520 FPS with 0.20g BBs and a muzzle energy of 2.49 joule.
22-Inch Aluminum Barrel with Engraved Serial Number
The outer barrel is a 22-inch one-piece aluminium barrel with a unique engraved serial number – a detail that sets this replica apart from budget alternatives and gives it a genuinely premium look and feel. Inside runs a 430 mm precision inner barrel with a 6.04 mm bore diameter for consistent BB flight.
22 mm Picatinny Rail – Ready for Any Optic
The top of the receiver features a full 22 mm Picatinny rail for mounting any airsoft scope, red dot or holographic sight. At 520 FPS with heavy BBs, this rifle is genuinely effective at 60–80 metres – distances where a quality scope is not optional, it is essential. The rail accepts all standard 20/22 mm mounts with no adapters required.
Bipod Mounts & Sling Points
The solid polymer stock includes bipod adapter mounts for attaching any Harris-style bipod – essential for accurate shooting from a stable prone position. Front and rear sling attachment points allow a two-point sling for comfortable carry between positions. The rubberised buttpad locks the stock firmly into the shoulder for consistent cheek weld shot after shot.

A Note on BB Weight
At 2.49 joule, this rifle is specifically designed for heavy BBs. Use 0.20g BBs only for chronographing – for actual field use, 0.30g, 0.32g, 0.36g, 0.43g or heavier BBs dramatically improve accuracy and reduce wind drift at distance. With 0.36g BBs the effective range and grouping are significantly better than with lighter ammunition. Check your local field’s joule limits before using – 2.49 joule exceeds the limit at some sites that cap bolt-action rifles at 2.0 joule or 1.5 joule.
Who Is This Rifle For?
This replica is the ideal choice for players stepping into the sniper role who want genuine out-of-the-box power and a clear upgrade path. The VSR-10 platform means you will never run out of upgrade options – this is a rifle you can grow with over years, not one you outgrow in a season. For reenactors the M24/M40/R700 silhouette is correct for US military and law enforcement impressions from the 1980s to the present day.
