The spring-powered system fires at ~400 FPS (1.49 J) with 0.20 g BBs straight out of the box. Spring power means no gas, no battery, no electronics – the only thing the rifle needs is BBs. The 600 mm tight-bore inner barrel (6.02 mm) is what makes the SVD shoot like a sniper rifle should at this price point.

Why spring-cocking for sniping

Real snipers don't fire continuously – they take careful, well-aimed single shots, and a spring-cocking airsoft replica forces you into exactly that rhythm. Cock the bolt, line up the shot, fire, repeat. No giveaway high cyclic rate, no muzzle climb, no wasted BBs – just one accurate shot at a time. With a 0.25 g or heavier BB this rifle is comfortably effective at 40–50 m on the field.
