Adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1905 — the 38th year of the Meiji period, which gave the rifle its name — the Arisaka Type 38 (三八式歩兵銃, sanhachi-shiki hoheijū) was the standard service rifle of Imperial Japan through both the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Second World War. Designed under the supervision of Colonel Nariakira Arisaka, whose name became the popular shorthand for the entire Japanese bolt-action family, it served Japanese infantry from 1906 to 1945.
This is the real-wood airsoft variant: genuine wooden stock and handguard over a metal action, with a 15-round polymer magazine and a long 600 mm inner barrel that delivers consistent groupings at sniper distances. Velocity sits at ~380 FPS (~1.34 J) — strong spring-powered sniper performance.
