H&K G3 Airsoft AEG — The Cold-War Battle Rifle, the Platform Behind Lithuania's Ak4

The Heckler & Koch G3 was one of the defining battle rifles of the Cold War. Adopted by West Germany in 1959 as the Bundeswehr's standard rifle, it stayed in frontline German service until the G36 replaced it in 1995, and remained with Bundeswehr reservists for years after. Over 50 countries fielded the G3 or a licensed clone — including Sweden, which built it as the Ak4 (Automatkarbin 4). After Lithuania regained independence, Sweden supplied Ak4 rifles that are still carried today by the Lithuanian National Defence Volunteer Forces and the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union (Šauliai) — making this G3 replica an excellent training and familiarisation piece for Šauliai members.

Full-size 7.62×51-pattern battle rifle feel

At 1,020 mm long and 2,670 g, this is a full-length battle rifle with the weight and balance of the real G3. ABS and aluminium construction with a steel 400-round hi-cap magazine, roller-locking-style charging handle, iron sights with the real G3's drum rear sight, and the compartment for a battery hidden in the handguard.

V2 metal gearbox, 370 FPS

Internally this uses a reinforced Version 2 metal gearbox with 8 mm steel sliding bearings — same gearbox platform as a huge aftermarket of M4/G3 upgrade parts. Semi-auto and full-auto. Muzzle velocity: ~370 FPS / 113 m/s with 0.20 g BBs (1.2–1.34 J), adjustable via the spring-guide tensioner within ±20 FPS without opening the gearbox. 510 mm precision inner barrel at 6.08 mm diameter.

The G36 is the standard service rifle of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and was the Bundeswehr's primary rifle until the 2026 G95 transition.
