The M1 Garand is the rifle that carried American GIs from North Africa to the Pacific. Adopted in 1936 as the world's first standard-issue semi-automatic battle rifle, it gave US forces a firepower advantage no Axis infantryman could match. General Patton famously called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised." This airsoft AEG recreates the full-size Garand with the wood, the weight and the silhouette it deserves.
The stock, forearm and handguard are genuine hardwood with a hand-oiled finish — the same colour, grain and feel as an original Garand from 1944. The action is full metal: bolt, receiver, op-rod, trigger group, sights, gas tube and barrel band. At 3700 g and 1100 mm long, this rifle has the heft and presence the Garand demands. Shoulder it and you feel the war.
Under the wood sits a dedicated V7 gearbox built specifically for the M1 Garand platform — different from the V2/V3 gearboxes in modern AEGs. Combined with a 590 mm × 6.05 mm tight-bore inner barrel, the rifle delivers ~420 FPS / 128 m/s / 1.64 J with 0.20 g BBs out of the box. That's well above standard AEG power — comfortably effective at 50+ m with 0.25 g BBs as recommended.
The included 30-round magazine is shaped like the legendary en-bloc clip that defined the Garand's loading system. While airsoft doesn't recreate the famous "ping" when the clip ejects, the magazine sits in the rifle exactly where the original clip would — preserving the silhouette and the WWII feel. The 30-round capacity comfortably outlasts the real rifle's 8-round clip.
If you're building a WWII US loadout — paired with Thompson, M1903, M1911 or M3 Grease Gun — the Garand is the missing centerpiece. The real wood under field lighting and the proper full-size length make this rifle stand out in any squad photo. On the modern airsoft field, the 1.64 J energy and 590 mm tight bore give you battle-rifle range that holds its own against modern AEGs.
Tip: pair with a 9.6 V or 11.1 V LiPo battery (T-connector), a leather sniper-style sling and a bag of 0.25 g BBs. For a complete WWII GI loadout, add an M1911 sidearm and a Thompson backup.
