The Type 100 (一〇〇式機関短銃, Hyaku-shiki kikan-tanjū) holds a unique place in WWII small-arms history: it was the only submachine gun ever produced in any quantity by Imperial Japan. Designed by Kijiro Nambu — the same engineer behind the Arisaka rifles and Nambu pistols — and manufactured at the Nagoya Arsenal from 1942 to 1945, it was issued in limited numbers to paratroopers, marines and special units in the Pacific theatre.
This airsoft AEG faithfully reproduces the Type 100 in its real-wood configuration: genuine wooden stock and grip over an aluminium and steel body, with a 110-round steel hi-cap magazine driving an electric gearbox. Velocity sits at around 365 FPS (~1.2 J). A rare historical SMG you almost never see on the airsoft field.
