The M3A1 "Grease Gun" was the American answer to wartime simplicity – a stamped-steel, full-auto-only submachine gun that cost a fraction of a Thompson and armed US infantry, tank crews and military police from 1944 right through to the first Gulf War. This airsoft AEG faithfully recreates that compact, rugged WW2 weapon in full metal — aluminum body, steel internals, with a wire stock that retracts into the receiver just like the original.
At just 508 mm long with the wire stock collapsed and 3150 g in the hand, the M3A1 is a genuinely compact SMG — perfect for CQB, vehicle reenactment and indoor airsoft. The unmistakable stamped-tube receiver and slow, deliberate full-auto fire rate look and sound exactly like the real Greaser firing on a closed-bolt action.
The Grease Gun is one of those weapons that's instantly readable on camera or on the field — nobody else carries one. Reenactors get the right late-war US silhouette without paying Thompson money; CQB players get a heavy, full-metal SMG with a 500-round magazine and full-auto only fire. The unique aesthetic is half the reason to own one.
Tip: pair with an 8.4 V NiMH stick battery and a sling clip — the Grease Gun is at its best when it looks weathered and used, the way GIs carried it.
