MP40 Full Metal AEG - Black Edition
Searching for a MP40? This is a fully legal 1:1 scale airsoft replica — the same silhouette, size and feel as the historic weapon, but no firearms permit required in most EU countries. Owning a real MP40 typically means a certified gun safe, background checks and €1,500–€4,000+ for a collectable original. This replica costs a fraction of that, ships across the EU, and is the fastest legal way to own an accurate copy of this gun for display, historical re-enactment, airsoft skirmish, or as a learning piece. Note: airsoft laws vary by country — it is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that owning an airsoft replica is legal where they live before purchasing.
The Maschinenpistole 40 is one of the most recognisable weapons of the Second World War. Developed in 1940, it became the standard submachine gun of the German Wehrmacht – compact enough for paratroopers, reliable enough for the Eastern Front, and deadly enough to earn the respect of every Allied soldier who faced it. This full metal AEG replica captures the MP40’s distinctive black phosphated finish and skeleton folding stock faithfully, at a weight of 2.8 kg that reminds you this is an all-metal construction every time you pick it up.
One of our customers summed it up well: “Very powerful and accurate, hits targets at 50–80 metres.” Another: “It’s a pleasure just to hold it and feel the euphoria.” We’ve been selling this model since 2017 and it remains one of the most requested WW2 airsoft weapons in our catalogue.
Full Metal – Inside and Out
Every external component is metal: receiver, barrel, magazine housing, folding stock mechanism, trigger guard and sight block all carry the solid, cold weight of metal construction. The matte black finish closely replicates the phosphated surface of the original wartime weapon. At 2.8 kg this is significantly heavier than polymer replicas – and that weight is exactly what collectors and reenactors want.
Under-Folding Skeleton Stock
The MP40’s signature feature was its under-folding metal skeleton stock, designed to make it compact enough for vehicle crews and paratroopers. This replica replicates that mechanism: the stock folds securely beneath the receiver for CQB use and extends to the full 850 mm for field shooting. Both positions lock firmly with no wobble.
Performance: 380 FPS / 116 m/s
Powered by the included 1600 mAh battery, the MP40 delivers 380 FPS / 116 m/s with 0.20g BBs. Semi and fully automatic fire modes, adjustable hop-up for range tuning. The 50-round metal mid-cap magazine feeds reliably. A fast magazine loader is included so you can get back into the action quickly.

Black vs Bakelite – Which MP40 Is Right for You?
We carry two MP40 variants. This black model is the classic field version with a clean matte black finish – historically accurate for the vast majority of wartime MP40s. Our MP40 Bakelite edition (product 149) features the distinctive brown Bakelite-style grip panels of later production versions and carries official markings. Both are excellent – it comes down to which variant you want to replicate.
All orders ship from our EU warehouse in Vilnius, Lithuania – no import taxes, no customs delays, fast DPD delivery to all EU countries within 2–3 working days.
