Description

The MP 18 — the original submachine gun

Designed by Hugo Schmeisser for Bergmann Waffenfabrik in 1917 and pushed into service by the Imperial German Army in mid-1918, the MP 18 was the first true submachine gun ever fielded. Intended as a close-range trench-warfare weapon to give individual soldiers more firepower than a pistol, it shaped the design of virtually every SMG built in the first half of the 20th century.

This is Snow Wolf's SW-021 — the real-wood airsoft AEG variant. Genuine wooden stock and grip give it the weight, grain and balance of the 1918 original, while a metal body houses the electric drivetrain.
